Lunar module Peregrine with a hardware wallet will be launched in November this year.
American private space company Astrobotic Technology will send a hardware wallet in the form of a physical coin containing one bitcoin to the Moon. Lunar module Peregrine will be launched in November this year. Astrobotic Technology will buy the bitcoin at the BitMEX crypto exchange.
“The bitcoin will stay on the moon surface until some enterprising person goes for it. The hardware wallet will have a public address making it possible for anybody to become a witness of taking the coin”, — the mission site says.
It was reported in May that SpaceX, a space company, will accept Dogecoin to pay and place a 40-kilogram satellite into space within the DOGE-1 moon mission of Canadian company Geometric Energy Corporation.
